Getting lost in London | Honeymoon part 4

Sunday, December 28, 2014

Ohhhh my gosh, London, where do I even begin?! I completely and utterly fell in love with this city, and the only reasonable thing to do is to move there. Okay maybe not, but a girl can dream.

We were in London for 5 nights, and it definitely was not enough time! This city is bursting with amazing restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, architecture, museums, and parks. We stayed in a really awesome area called Shoreditch, at a place we found on Airbnb. Shoreditch reminded me so much of Portland, especially since they have an Ace Hotel there. There are so many locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques in this part of London; I was in love.

saturday mornings

Saturday, December 13, 2014

Saturday mornings are my favorite. I try and go to bed at a decent time on Fridays, so that I can wake up early Saturday morning and enjoy some quiet time to myself. This weekend I'm really looking forward to getting back to the gym and meeting with girlfriends for coffee.

Enjoy your weekend!

Marseille, France | Honeymoon Part 3

Wednesday, December 10, 2014

It’s almost the middle of December and looking back at these photos from Marseille, France could not have been a more better idea. Take me back to that warm Mediterranean water and sunshine!

We stayed in Marseille for 4 nights, spent a day in Aix-en-Provence, and went on a boat excursion tour. The boat excursion tour was throughout Les Calanques in the south of France, and it might have been the best thing we did on our honeymoon - but I wouldn’t want to narrow it down. Our trip through Les Calanques will have to be it’s own post - it’s that amazing.

I seriously can’t believe I’m typing this, but here we go! Thanks to our amazing wedding photographer, Linnea, our wedding was featured in Portland Bride & Groom’s Winter/Spring 2015 issue! This is a dream come true for me. Our wedding was truly a labor of love and it’s so humbling to have it printed in a magazine! You can check our the article in the magazine to read more about our wedding and see a few photos, too!

If you live in Oregon, you can find the magazine at: Airports (Seattle & Portland), Albertsons, Barnes & Noble, Fred Meyer, Haggen’s,
Powell’s, QFC, Rich’s, Safeway, and Zupans!
I met up with my girl Sam, who was one of my amazing bridesmaids,
on Sunday so I could show her the magazine.
Thanks for helping me style my Instagram post, Sam!

Nice, France | Honeymoon Part 2

Sunday, November 9, 2014

While traveling through France on our honeymoon, one of the cities we visited was Nice, in the French Riviera. This city was absolutely breathtaking. We spent three nights and four days here, and also took a half-day trip to Monaco. On our first night in the city we ventured to Old Town, just a 5 minute walk from our Airbnb apartment, and had an amazing Italian dinner. We split a pizza, spaghetti bolognese, and an insanely delicious lemon Italian ice (aka: The Honeymoon Diet).

Paris | Honeymoon part 1

Monday, October 20, 2014

Almost 2 months later, but I’m back and ready to blog!

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that I was in Europe for three weeks back in September. My husband Eric and I got married July 3, but we wanted to delay our honeymoon a bit to give us some time to settle and regroup. Planning a wedding and a three week trip at the same time seemed a little chaotic. We bought our plane tickets in May and then made a deal that we wouldn’t plan any more of our trip until after the wedding. Let me just say that going on a delayed honeymoon was the best thing ever! It definitely cured my post-wedding blues because we still had so much to look forward to after the wedding!

Fast forward to a little less than two months after our wedding, August 30th to be exact, and we were on a plane headed for Paris. Our full itinerary: Paris, Reims, Lyon, Nice, Monaco, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, and London!

Paris was the first stop of our honeymoon. After about 27 hours of travel we made it to our hotel, dropped our bags, and crashed for a four hour nap. I told Eric that I was setting an alarm for 7:30 pm so that we could catch the Eiffel Tower before it got dark, and then of course we stayed around to watch it light up and sparkle.

Here are some of my favorite photos from Paris.
I think they share a little bit of everything we were able to see.

Portland Eats

Monday, August 25, 2014

One of my favorite things in life is food. I love how it has the ability to bring people together and create a shared experience. After living in Portland for a couple of years, my taste buds haven’t been the same. That city really knows how to do it all, and well. If you love food as much as I do, and get to Portland ever, you should check out my “Portland Eats” page. So far I just have a few coffee shops and brunch places listed, but they do not disappoint! Enjoy!

film camera

Thursday, August 21, 2014

One of my wedding gifts from Eric was a Canon film camera. These are some of my favorite images from the roll. Can’t wait to take a couple of rolls in Europe! // Pictured above: my 26th birthday, blueberry picking with my sister, brunch in Portland, our mini-moon at The Nines, and the Hawthorne Bridge in Portland.

Plans this weekend: getting packed, family reunion, and lots of sleep.

hey, hi, hello.
