It’s almost the middle of December and looking back at these photos from Marseille, France could not have been a more better idea. Take me back to that warm Mediterranean water and sunshine!
We stayed in Marseille for 4 nights, spent a day in Aix-en-Provence, and went on a boat excursion tour. The boat excursion tour was throughout Les Calanques in the south of France, and it might have been the best thing we did on our honeymoon - but I wouldn’t want to narrow it down. Our trip through Les Calanques will have to be it’s own post - it’s that amazing.
Marseille was definitely about relaxation, and of course a little sight seeing. We ate at the same restaurant two nights in a row for dinner. We would split a pizza, Eric would get a beer, and I would get a glass of Kir (blackcurrant liqueur topped with white wine, or champagne if you’re feeling extra fancy!).
What to do:
MuCEM - Amazing museum. I was more impressed with what was outside, than in.
The Palais Longchamp - Beautiful architecture. It’s free, so why not.
Day trips: Aix-en-Provence and Avignon, both a pretty quick train ride.
Boat excursion through Les Calques: Bleu Evasion. (more on this in another post)
So stunning! take me there.
